Bridge for Better UK Launches an ongoing Mental Health Awareness Campaign in Partnership with Minds UK and Evon Media LTD

In a bold and compassionate move to address the pressing mental health challenges faced by the Black community in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bridge for Better UK has teamed up with Minds UK and Evon Media LTD to launch a nationwide awareness campaign aimed at breaking the stigma, building support networks, and driving sustainable change.
We produced a short film to highlight the impact of mental health issues and find solution to the issues.

A Post-COVID Reality: The Need for Focused Mental Health Support

The COVID-19 pandemic disproportionately affected Black communities across the UK — not only in terms of physical health outcomes, but also in terms of social, economic, and psychological impact. Isolation, bereavement, job losses, and strained access to culturally appropriate care have all contributed to a silent but growing mental health crisis.

Recognising the urgency of this situation, Bridge for Better UK, a community development non-profit, initiated a collaborative effort to shed light on mental health challenges within Black communities and foster healing through culturally relevant conversations and support systems.

Uniting Expertise and Media to Drive Impact

In this ground-breaking campaign, Bridge for Better UK has partnered with:

Minds UK, a leading mental health charity renowned for its advocacy and support services, to provide expert resources, clinical guidance, and training.

Evon Media LTD, a Black-led media and communications company, to amplify the message through community-focused storytelling, video content, social media outreach, and grassroots engagement.

Together, these partners are creating an inclusive, multi-platform campaign that reaches deep into communities that have historically been underserved and misunderstood by mainstream mental health services.
